Strengths: Text sharp and clear, bright

Weakness: Weak bland and washed out coloration, poor/minimal controls (2 buttons control every setting on the monitor), and HEAVY (70lbs.)

This monitor was immediately disappointing to me; I could not believe that Sony sold a trinitron monitor at this price that had such poor coloration quality. I have an 8 year old NEC 15" monitor that absolutely put this Sony 21" montor to shame in both brightness and color quality! I read through all documentation, called Sony tech support, made many adjustments over days with this thing, and never achieved a satisfactory picture. I used two different video cards, even hooked up both monitors to one card and got the same results. I RMA'd this monitor as defective - it must have been, as the quality was that poor - and I would not buy it again.

My review on Newegg.com says pretty much the same thing. Be wary of user reviews on that site, though: They changed my 2 star rating to a four star rating even though they left my negative comments intact, and it's obvious they delete the most damning product reviews.
