Windows 98SE Operating System
Strengths: Item shipped and received as stated.
Weakness: No longer supported.
Cannot install this OS by CD-ROM only; it requires an 'A' drive floppy Start-up Disk to install. If you've wiped your hard-drive before install, you may need a graphics driver. Again, it is not supported. A null purchase. Buy XP at least; it will install itself on your CD-ROM and the drivers needed.

Strengths: It's a workhorse - there's no major glitches for me with this
Weakness: None that I know of - maybe weak usb?
Well, I started off on win95, and used that right up till 2000, when stuff like usb came out bigtime. My old P200 went into office use, and my new 750's came online. I got hold of winME, and found on both new machines, the ME was crashing, hanging, freezing, rebooting, scrabling info, ye gods. So I went out and bought win2000. This was great on one of the pair - but it refused to even load on the...

I haven't tried Win XP yet but I...
Strengths: WIN98SE is the "Best OS" out there in the marketplace. It's very reliable and compatible with most software and hardware. I've tried Win95, Win NT, Win ME and they are nothing compared to WIN98SE.
Weakness: None! To have your computer running a peak performance just download the service pack and update your drivers.
I haven't tried Win XP yet but I already found some bugs on it like the shutdown trouble among others. WinME came out with more bugs in six months than what Win98SE did ever.
Win98SE is the best. I hope Windows could do a upgrade to the OS.
Thanks!

happy
Strengths: very good price
not buggy much better then windows me. honest store with good prices. would buy from them again. Windows 98SE is not a bootable disk so you will need to download a boot image from the internet. I have a floppy so it was no trouble.

Strengths: Very Stable on Good PC hardware, easy to use and learn,Compatible with all the Dos\Windows software i've used including windows 3.1
Weakness: I used to get the blue screen of death very often on my first pc But it was much better when I installed it on my brand new machine
After one year using Win 98 I upgraded the machine to windows me to see if it would be better but i was wrong. The blue screen was more frecuent an I lost the USB support for some reason I ended up downgrading back to win98 until a power failure blew my computer's power supply then I got a brand new pc with winXP pre installed and made it dual boot with win 98 and I can tell they make a powerfull...
