I got my HD580 for a while now. I love it simply because it really offers elegant sound at a reasonable cost. My final price was $150. Meanwhile, HD600 would cost you more than $200, and HD650 more than $300. And I'd like to say they improve at most 5% in terms of sound quality. So you know what to begin with.

Anyway these cans need headphone amps deadly. So you need to spend another $200 to get a decent amp. Mine is so so, but seems to be working fine.

In summary, these cans are really cheap now. And they do not seem to drop a lot in the future. I personally think the lowest price would be $130. But you must be very lucky to get that price. So the choice is yours.

For an entry level HiFi fan, this is a must-have. Really worth the money.

These are some of the best headphones available in the $150 price range. They are quite detailed in all aspects. The hd580s provide a darker and more neutral sound than the 590's which is preferred by many. They are very comfortable and lightweight. Overall a excellent headphone when combined with a nice amp.

Superb Headphones

Strengths: Amazing clarity, resolution, and fidelity. Brings new definition and enjoyment to your music.

Weakness: 300 ohm impedance requires amplifier. They're not the HD650s. Open air design (no isolation).

Best Purchase I Ever Made for PC Gaming

Strengths: Excellent sound quality for a decent price. Lateral sound quality to the HD600s and HD650s. I can hear every step an enemy makes in game.

Weakness: No microphone. But then again there are no high quality headphones with microphones. So I guess that is irrelevant. I honestly can't find anything wrong with them.

Excellent for modding. I was able to tear the microphone out of a Logitech Internet Chat Headset and with a Dremmel and hot glue fit the microphone inside the left can. It is slick. And I no longer have to use a desk microphone or wear two headsets to have high quality sound.
